The plant grows a dusting of sparkling trichomes and thick orange hairs during its vegetative phase with dark green buds which could turn vaguely blue or purple. With a flowering time of 65 days indoors, North Thunderfuck can reach heights of 80 to 120cm with recorded yields of 450–500g/m². It also has moderate resistance to disease and a love for cold climates, which is balanced by a preference for the outdoors which provides the freedom to stretch. Outdoor-grown plants can reach heights of 160 to 190cm and have been known to yield between 500–600g per plant. Outdoor growers can expect to harvest mid-October especially in the Northern Hemisphere.
