Sensi Seeds: Buy From The World’s Oldest Seed Bank
Sensi Seeds was founded in 1985, but its founder, Ben Dronkers, had began working with weed seeds many years earlier, back in the 70s. What he did was collect landraces all over the world, cross them with each other first, and later - with some varieties brought to Holland by enterprising US pot dealers. His creations, that include the celebrated Big Bud, Skunk #1, Northern Lights, and many others, won countless Cannabis Cups over the years.
Enormous International Success
Low price has never been among Sensi Seeds’ features. Still, they sell their seeds in huge quantities to growers worldwide because there will always be those willing to pay top dollar for the product of the highest quality. When the Dutch government decided to grow their own standardised cannabis to supply to medical patients, they chose Sensi’s genetics. The seed bank remains at the forefront of developments in their field, constantly updating their collection with regular and feminized, automatic and early varieties, that cater to any grower’s needs.
A Company With A Mission
Many seed banks of today lay great stress on the healing properties of the plant. Sensi Seeds applaud the mounting research in this area, but they never overlook the fact that marijuana isn’t just medicine for the sick. It can also make the life of perfectly healthy individuals so much richer. It’s a source of inspiration, creative energy, and change of perspective that can make our world a better place. It’s a bold message, and Sensi Seeds aren’t afraid to send it.
Fighting For Cannabis Normalization
Besides their own seed shops, Sensi have two museums that have so far welcomed more than two million visitors. The first of these museums, the one in Amsterdam, opened its doors the same year the company was founded. It shows Ben’s dedication to educating the world on the benefits of hemp and cannabis. He also came up with the beautiful tradition of naming his best creations after legendary activists, such as Jack Herer, Mr. Nice (Howard Marks), Ed Rosenthal, and Michka. The influence of these people was enormous, but so is the impact of their namesake strains.
